URGENT: Help support vulnerable refugees from camps into safety
Filoxenia International is dedicated to improving the quality of life of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants without discrimination. We intend to build strength within vulnerable communities by providing services, resources and structures that enable self determination and dignified living
Our flagship project will support 150 people from larger families or groups of the refugee community within which exists at least one person that is particularly vulnerable, e.g. someone who has experienced sexual or gender based violence in their camp, an elderly person with multiple disabilities, or a single parent managing a large family alone.
As a community we can together provide the resources and support people need to build strength and live safely with dignity. We actively welcome and need support from likeminded local and international individuals and groups. There are many ways to help.
We aim to improve the quality-of-life and long term legal outcomes for some of the most vulnerable refugees in Greece by offering them alternative, safe, dignified, healthy, long-term (and cost effective) supported housing.
